Points of Light cordially invites youth between the ages of 13-18 to the 2020 Youth Summit. The Youth Summit is an opportunity for youth to learn, discuss, and develop ideas to address issues facing our world while equipping them with tools and resources to design projects and plans of action that will positively impact their communities. In addition, the 2020 Youth Summit is a great opportunity for youth and family volunteers to connect with peers and other leaders in the civic and volunteer space. Some of this year’s topics will include: the world’s current social climate; the upcoming school year; and mental health and wellness. Mark your calendars because this year’s summit will be held virtually on Aug. 19, 2020 at 4 p.m. EDT. Register today to be a part of this can’t-miss event!
Recognizing the power and urgency of youth voices, the 2020 Youth Summit will take place as a stand-alone, online experience. The Summit will bring together youth from across the country, as well as featured speakers, to reflect on and engage with the challenges and opportunities presented by the new school year, and equipping them with resources and tools to shape the “new normal.”
As part of the 2020 Youth Summit, beginning on July 9, 2020, youth will have the opportunity to submit video pitches presenting a project designed to make a difference in their school communities in the coming year. Five winning pitches will be selected to receive $1,000 to implement their projects in the coming semester, with the winners announced at this year’s summit.
