Pete Kendall
Pete Kendall is a volunteer in the Shut In/Companion Care program, part of RSVP. RSVP helps people live independently as long as they can. Currently, Pete is working with two gentlemen, John and Larry, tackling entirely different situations.
Since May 2011, Pete has been providing John with support through many surgeries. He visits him weekly, takes him out in his wheelcair for fresh air and keeps his spirit positive. Pete does the same for Larry, a stroke victim with dementia. Pete relieves Larry’s wife from constant care and helps around the house moving furniture, doing handy work, etc.
In addition to the personal relationships he’s formed, Pete helps the RSVP director pick-up wheelchairs and other supplies for other clients. Pete is an extremely cheerful, giving, constant in the RSVP prorgam. He is willing to do whatever he can to help another in need. This is what makes him a Daily Point of Light.
