North Carolina Woman Finds Joy in Crafting for Good

Daily Point of Light # 6078 Aug 31, 2017

Linda Cline leads the Handicrafters Group of Ardmore Baptist Church, who have gathered together regularly for the past 15 years in service. The group hand sews a variety of urgently needed items for patients at Hospice and Palliative CareCenter, including pressure point pillows, emotional-support dolls and catheter bag covers. All of these items help ensure the patients’ sense of worth and dignity, letting them know that they are loved and cared for by the community. Giving more than 2,000 hours of time per year, the group delivers gifts to patients once a month. The items are marked by the highest quality, with obvious care taken with every detail.
