Jean Grogan
Jean Grogan has been volunteering at the Crisis Control Ministry for 28 years. She reads three newspapers—the Winston-Salem Journal, the Kernersville News and the Winston-Salem Chronicle—clipping any article that mentions the organization. She notes any new churches or pastor changes and compares obituaries to the ministry’s database so all records are kept up to date. For the most of time she has served the ministry, Jean arrived promptly every Thursday morning and worked into the early afternoon. When she was hospitalized recently, because she had quietly assumed multiple tasks over the years, it took three staff members to cover her responsibilities. She continues to serve from her home in the same administrative capacity and remains an incredible asset to the Crisis Control Ministry team.
