Anita Brown
Anita Brown has served as a volunteer in numerous community and church activities. After her retirement she began volunteering at the Natchitoches Parish Hospital as a Pink Lady as well as other opportunities in the health and wellness field.
While a faithful member of First Baptist Church, she has served as Women's Missionary Union Director several years and now serves as a church greeter and on various church committees.
When the Lov'N Care Mission was organized 10 years ago, Anita immediately began volunteering, working with and supervising clothing volunteers and organizing household items. Needy people were provided clothing on a no-cost basis three days a week and as needed when emergencies arose. During Hurricane Katrina and Rita, Anita worked many long, tireless hours, unselfishly to meet the critical needs of those who were displaced, impacted, or dislocated.
She is also a member of the RSVP program and constantly helps others both privately and organizationally, including transporting or accompanying them to doctors and/or hospitals, taking food to the sick and elderly, constantly checking on them.
Each activity Anita has been involved in benefits and unifies the needy in the area. Since 1966 many remember the love and care she has shared.
