A Lifetime of Service.
On June 12, 2024, we celebrate what would have been the 100th birthday of Points of Light’s founder, President George H.W. Bush. His lifelong commitment to service, a pillar of his time in the White House, inspired a movement.
The values that President George H.W. Bush embodied — integrity, empathy, respect, optimism, and belief in the power of the human spirit to create positive change — are what inspired him to create Points of Light, and they’re the values that drive our work today.
Through President Bush’s vision, Points of Light continues to inspire, equip and mobilize millions of people to take action that changes the world. We’re proud to celebrate this legacy.
