Points of Light Welcomes Two New Members to Its Board of Directors
Meet Nicole "Nikki" Clifton of UPS and Pamela D. Everhart from Fidelity Investments
Points of Light is pleased to announce the addition of two leaders to its board of directors. Each brings a wealth of experience that complements the current board and shares Points of Light’s mission to inspire, equip and mobilize people to take action that changes the world.
The newly appointed members of the Points of Light board of directors are Nicole “Nikki” Clifton, president, Social Impact and The UPS Foundation, UPS, and Pamela D. Everhart, senior vice president, head of regional public affairs and community relations, Fidelity Investments. Each of the new board members will serve a three-year term.
“I am thrilled to welcome Nikki and Pamela to the Points of Light board of directors,” said Natalye Paquin, president and CEO of Points of Light. “We look forward to leveraging their leadership, expertise and commitment to service to help move our work forward.”
Leading UPS’s global philanthropy, social impact and community affairs work, Clifton oversees the company’s efforts to respond to the world’s most pressing social, humanitarian and environmental needs. Additionally, she leads the UPS Equity, Justice & Action Task Force, a cross-functional leadership team working to dismantle systemic racism through strategic internal and external engagement.
“I am thrilled to serve alongside industry leaders who are passionate about creating a more equitable and just world,” said Clifton. Points of Light is the preeminent volunteer service organization, and I am excited to help them tackle society’s greatest challenges and build a better future,” said Clifton.
As a 27-year Fidelity Investments veteran with financial services expertise, Pamela Everhart is a senior vice president and Head of Regional Public Affairs and Community Relations in Fidelity’s Communications, Public Affairs and Policy Group. In this role, Pamela oversees the firm’s state and local government relationships, public affairs, and community relations activities. Previously, Pamela led the firm’s advocacy strategy and engagement with government officials in Washington, DC on federal regulatory policy matters that could impact Fidelity’s ability to serve its clients and customers, its products and services, and the firm.
She is most proud of her efforts to support and empower underserved communities. She oversees Fidelity Financial Forward, a digital platform that provides free access to financial education resources for students, teachers, parents, and anyone who has a vested interest in the education of a child. Outside of Fidelity, she cofounded the New Commonwealth Racial Equity and Social Justice Fund, a coalition of Black and Brown executives in Massachusetts working to eliminate racial inequity in the state.
“The most interesting work of my career is happening right now. It’s what we’re doing in community relations that is focused on providing access and opportunity for underserved youth in this country,” Everhart said. “And we won’t and can’t do this work alone. We look forward to working closely with partners like the Points of Light, its affiliate and community network, and I’m honored to serve on the Points of Light Board of Directors.”
