As a former civil rights attorney, I have long been inspired by her. The way she used her position and her voice to fight for equality for women and people of color, the thoughtfulness she put into her work, inspired me and a generation of female lawyers.

The big cases she took on represented issues she cared deeply about and advocated tirelessly to improve the lives of so many.

She was a bright light in our world. Let her legacy serve to inspire us all to use our time, talent and treasure to create a more just, equitable world.
