Dress for Success Des Moines Volunteers

Dress for Success Des Moines is a volunteer driven organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

They have 12 dedicated and passionate volunteers who come into the boutique each week to service women in the community as well as a few additional volunteers who volunteer a minimum of 20 hours outside of the boutique working on projects to ensure the organization continues to grow. In 2012, volunteers logged over 8000 hours.

Dress for Success Des Moines opened its doors in 2011. Since opening its doors, volunteers have held over 300 suitings, served more than 200 women, mentored women in the Going Places Network program, and provided computer training.
