Doctor Starts Nonprofit to Help Children in Need

Dr. Kathy Fallon was profoundly changed by the devastation she saw as a volunteer at Ground Zero after 9/11. She then made it her mission to help children in need, founding Heavenly Productions Foundation in 2003. The nonprofit raised funds through the sale of the Heavenly Lullabies children’s music CD and book to assist youth after Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Sandy. It’s Backpack Outreach program delivers backpacks and school supplies to kids in need, while Operation Teddy Bear produces stuffed bears that are donated to hospitals and schools. The reach of Heavenly Productions Foundation has extended to impact the lives of children well beyond its New York base to help kids in Africa, Haiti and Jamaica.
